I’ve never been one to wait for opportunities to come to me. I go out and create opportunities for myself. I’ve found that when you put people first, act with integrity, and work hard, God has a way
of making it all work out.
One of the greatest strengths I have was learned early on, growing up on a farm. My parents worked incredibly hard and they expected me to do the same. That mindset stuck with me through high school, where I was working in carpet cleaning and construction while still keeping up with classes.
By the time I was 19, I had saved enough to buy a fourplex. My parents were nervous. They didn’t know anyone who had done something like that, and honestly, neither did I. But I kept hearing people say, “I wish I’d bought real estate sooner,” so I figured I might as well take the leap.

At the same time, I started my own carpet cleaning business. I was juggling the responsibilities of running a company while figuring out what it meant to be an owner-occupant, handling repairs, property maintenance, and offsetting my mortgage with rental income. I became more interested in real estate as a career. My neighbor happened to be a REALTOR®, and after talking with her about what the job actually involved, I realized it was something I wanted to pursue. Carpet cleaning was never my passion. It was just an opportunity that paid the bills. Real estate, on the other hand, felt like a way to make a real impact.
In 2019, I earned my real estate license and dove in headfirst. It wasn’t easy. I was working two full-time jobs, cleaning carpets by day and doing real estate evenings and weekends. But I have always had a strong work ethic and a drive to figure things out as I go. When COVID hit and the cleaning business slowed down, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. I sold the business, focused on real estate full-time, and even started flipping houses along with getting into home building, building a few specs of my own. I learned more about homes by tearing them apart and putting them back together, as well as building them from ground up, more than I ever could have from a textbook.

My approach to real estate is simple: treat every deal like it is my own investment. I don’t sugarcoat things. If there is a problem with a house, I will tell you. If there is potential, I will show you where it is. My clients trust me because I have been on every side of the table: buyer, seller, landlord, flipper, and even builder. I know what it is like to take a risk, and I know how to spot a good opportunity.
Entrepreneurship, to me, is about more than just having control of my businesses. It’s about having control of my life. My wife, Chantel, and I have two daughters, Lydia and Mia. Because of my real estate career, I can be very involved with my kids and not work 80+ hour weeks anymore just to provide. It also has given me more time to be involved in the community. I play basketball and softball and even run a dad’s stroll club. I can truly be present with people and make each moment count, whether I am with clients, my family, or out in my community.
My wife and I also run another business together: a network of claw machines throughout Sioux Falls. If you cannot tell, we believe in finding opportunities everywhere. That has been the theme of my life. It is not about having all the answers, but about having the courage to get started and the work ethic to figure it out along the way.
Above all, my faith is the foundation that guides everything I do. It shapes my values, my work ethic, and the way I treat others. I believe that serving people with honesty and integrity is the best way to honor my faith and to make a difference in the world.
One of the greatest things that has come from my real estate career is the relationships. I’ve found what makes this work so rewarding is working with great people that become friends during the transaction. When there’s trust and we genuinely enjoy working together, the whole process is smoother and more enjoyable. I’m committed to being here for you even after the transaction is over, as a go-to resource and friend.
My experience spans new construction with the top local builders, single-family homes, multi-family investments, condos, townhomes, and farms with some acreage. Throughout the process, I am highly communicative and totally transparent. I’m well versed in evaluating a home’s value, and if I see a potential concern, you will know about it. I want my clients to be 100% informed before making any decisions. My business is built on referrals, which means I’m always working to create exceptional experiences for everyone I work with to earn their trust, but also their recommendation to friends and family. I love what I do and see it as a privilege and honor to serve families in this community!
Sincerely,

Wes Vis
